We Stocked MrBeast’s Viral Grocery Store Challenge With 1,400 Pounds of American Meat—Then Matched It With a Donation

At a time when America is importing 300,000 metric tons of foreign beef to help lower prices, at Good Ranchers, we just filled an entire grocery store without it.

We recently supplied 1,400 pounds of meat for MrBeast’s new “Eat Everything in Grocery Store” challenge — enough to stock an entire grocery store created for the video.

The challenge follows four contestants locked inside a fully equipped grocery store with one mission: consume every calorie before time runs out. Over the course of the challenge, contestants cook, train, work together and attempt to eat their way through everything inside.

For Good Ranchers, the opportunity to work with MrBeast was bigger than getting its products in front of millions of people. It was a chance for us to take something we’ve stood behind since the beginning and put it on a scale people could actually see.

“We’ve always believed Americans deserve to know where their meat comes from,” said Ben Spell, CEO and co-founder of Good Ranchers. “Getting to work with MrBeast gave us the chance to show what that looks like in a way we’ve never been able to before. We weren’t stocking a freezer or filling a family’s box. We were filling an entire grocery store.”

The collaboration comes as beef prices and imports are making headlines across the country. In August, President Trump signed a proclamation temporarily allowing 300,000 metric tons of beef to be imported into the U.S., completely tariff-free.The administration says the temporary increase is intended to add ground-beef supply and help bring prices down for American consumers.

Some U.S. farms, ranches, and cattle groups have raised concerns about the effect additional lower-priced imports could have on domestic producers. Against that backdrop, the MrBeast challenge gave Good Ranchers an unexpected opportunity to put its own sourcing model on display.

But the partnership wasn’t going to stop with what happened on camera.

Good Ranchers matched every pound supplied for the challenge with another 1,400 pounds of meat donated to Beast Pantry, Beast Philanthropy’s flagship local food program in Greenville, North Carolina.

That brought Good Ranchers’ total commitment to the collaboration to 2,800 pounds of food.

On September 19, Spell joined the Beast Pantry team in Greenville for the first Good Ranchers-supported distribution, which was planned to serve approximately 280 families.

“If we were going to put 1,400 pounds of food into a challenge for millions of people to watch, we wanted that moment to do some good beyond the screen, too,” Spell said. “Matching that amount for Beast Pantry felt like the right way to make this partnership mean more.”
